AMA Chartered Club # 4837
Virginia Flyers invites you to join our RC helicopter club. We have a flying site located on 12 acres in Prince William County just of Rt. 66 in Gainesville. Virginia Flyers is an AMA Chartered Club # 4837 with all the privileges and special benefits accorded to AMA Chartered Clubs. Each Club chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics is protected by insurance coverage with liability limits of $2,500,000 while engaged in modeling and related club activities. As an AMA member, you also have this protection while flying your RC helicopter. Approximately 1/3 of this property will be available for a helicopter only RC Club. Full size helicopters are authorized to land on the adjacent half and we are a FAA approved heliport (2VG6). Rockets and fixed wing RC models are prohibited-helicopters only. All members must be full AMA members.
New to the hobby- no problem! We can assist you in every step from joining the AMA and our club, selecting a helicopter and helping you with building and learning to fly an RC helicopter. It is a fun and exciting sport and hobby.

Membership
Membership applications are available. This is a semi-private club with membership available and open now. Your application will be taken and you will be required to bring your helicopter and yourself to a meeting for introduction. You will be voted on at the meeting. Once in, you will have full membership privilege.
For a membership application, please email info@virginiaflyers.com and include your full name, address, email address, telephone and helicopter model along with your AMA membership number. Or, click on the membership link to the left and download a membership application and send it in via US mail with a copy of your drivers license and proof of AMA membership and AMA number.
